Simple Breaker Index Formula Using Linear Model

Breaking waves generated by wave shoaling in coastal areas have a close relationship with various physical phenomena regions. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately predict breaker indexes such as breaking height and depth when designing structures. Many studies on been carried out, many experimental data documented. Representative provide empirical formulas for the prediction of index, mainly through hydraulic model experiments. However, existing index determine coefficients assumed equation statistical analysis under assumption specific equation. This study presents an alternative method estimate using representative linear-based supervised machine learning algorithms that show high predictive performance research fields related regression or classification problems. Based used methods, new simple linear presented. The newly proposed formula showed similar compared formula, although was
